Walk On The Wild Side
Reading With Raptors
How much walking is required?
All of the bird exhibits are outdoors in large aviaries so some walking is involved. The aviaries are situated along winding hillside trails, which are woodland gravel paths. Be advised that some of them are steep. That said, if you have mobility issues, this may be difficult for you to do. For specific details, it’s a good idea to call the Cascades Raptor Center directly at 541-485-1320.
What kind of tours are available?
There are self-guided tours at the Cascades Raptor Center as well as the Personal Raptor Experience. This two-hour private tour is led by a staff member who will provide you with an in-depth look at how the Center operates on a daily basis. You’ll also hear unique stories about the birds and get a chance to watch them being trained. Private tours are for individuals, couples, and groups of up to four.
